Andrew Adkison Blog: The 2010 Season Begins

The 2010 WWA World Series started off with an impressive event — the first-ever Wakestock Abu Dhabi. Not just the riding, but the entire organization of the contest and trip. The laid-back atmosphere was a sharp contrast to the intense level of riding. There was so much to do at the actual site it was [...]

Andrew Adkison Blog: Dubs in Dubai

Eight riders just finished up one of the best vacations, uh, I mean double-up contests, of the year. The Oakley Riot was just held in Dubai and put on by Al Boom Marine. I’d heard about it for several months from some of the other guys, but my name was thrown into the hat only [...]

AA Blog: Hitting Double-ups In Dubai

It’s seems slightly odd to me that I just flew halfway around the world to hit a couple of double-ups. It’s even stranger that this time last week I didn’t know I was going. The crew from Al Boom Marine Group has invited eight pro riders to Dubai for a one-day double-up contest that is [...]

Andrew Adkison Blog: New MC Video, China + More

It’s been a busy and productive few weeks for me. I came back from Panama City, Florida, two Sundays ago and was up early Monday morning to start shooting for the 2010 MasterCraft Rewind DVD. MasterCraft is taking a totally new approach to a product DVD that I think you’ll find refreshing and entertaining. It’s [...]

Andrew Adkison Blog: Hitting Home

With all that talk about busy schedules in my first blog, it seems ironic that I’m now writing about taking some downtime to ride in my hometown. When the tournaments slow down at the end of each season, I take a couple weeks to head back to ride in Panama City, Florida, where I grew [...]

First Look: Andrew Adkison’s New WBM Blog

The only aversion I have to wakeboarding professionally is that the season, the travels and the experiences, go by so quickly. In fact, during the season I may visit three different continents in three different weekends with only a snapshot of what those places have to offer. My schedule is rushed and my flights are long, but [...]

Andrew Adkison - Fill in the Blank Bio

My favorite website is yourmom.biz.

The last app I downloaded for my
iPhone was Nikon Learn and Explore. It's a Nikon camera reference app.

One world record I think I could beat would be
pogo sticking for the longest period of time. Seriously I'm a natural.

I hang out with
JD , Kyle Alberts, Iris Adkison, Shaun Perry, Grasman when I can, Trevor on occasion.  Not enough though. Phil Wilson back in Panama City and of course my Iphone. I also have the crew I usually travel with during the competitive season.

When I am not riding I like to
do fill in the blank interviews. Shoot photos! I also like to murk on Call of Duty on occasion.

The best video part of all time was
really Park's entire documentary!

The first piece of music I bought was
Ben Harper Live from Mars.

I love
lamp when riding, even if I'm just taking things I see around me and saying I love them. (I knew I could work in an Anchor Man quote)

I always listen to
my wife (however, she just read this over my shoulder and said, "yeah right" ).

If I were a performer in the adult entertainment industry my name would be
Bandit Woods. That's my first dogs name and the name of the street I grew up on. Seriously. Isn't that how you get your adult entertainment name?

If I could ride with anyone past present of future it would be
that girl who dumped me in middle school so I could show her.

My first board was a
CWB Transcend and now I ride a CWB Transcend because I didn't know there were any other boards out there. Is this a trick question?

Seriously though:

My first board was a big green skurfer I never actually used. The first one I used was an O'Brien Sparky directional with sandal plates. Now I ride a CWB Transcend.

The first thing I do everyday when I get up is make lunch. Just kidding. I couldn't resist. The first thing I actually do is brush my teeth. That's not nearly as funny though. Ohh, I should have said drain the cooler.

I am passionate about wakeboarding, photography, my wife, and working hard.

Right now I drive F150 but if the price wasn’t an obstacle I would drive my very own Dinosaur (granted this would be very expensive due to genetic engineering) and if I won a million $$ I would drive my same F150.

My favorite memory of our team manager Steve Bates is every time and I mean every time I email, call, or text him with something serious. He replies back with an amazingly funny piece of original humor.
